Meeting Deacon

Remember my post about my friends April and Brian hoping to adopt another baby soon? Well they are no longer hoping! On Friday, Feb 1, they received their sweet new baby boy, Deacon Jack Atwood. Right after April and I went to lunch on Thursday, she went to an appointment with her caseworker and she and Brian were given a HUGE surprise. They had been chosen by a birth mother and the baby had been born the day before. When she sent me a picture of her new baby boy on Friday I couldn't believe it! I am so happy and excited for them! Tony, Eli and I went over on Monday, Feb 4 to meet Deacon and visit with April, Brian and Bennett. Deacon is such a cute little guy and we are so happy for their family!

 I was trying to get a picture of all 3 boys together, but Eli was not cooperating.

And this was when Bennett was trying to get in the picture and Eli leaned forward and started trying to suck on his cheek, and then Deacon spit up.

We were also excited to meet April's new dog, Yogi. When he came out and Eli saw him, he (Eli) got so excited that he screamed in a high pitched voice and Yogi got really scared and ran under the table to hide from him. It was really funny.
